Configure dynamic PNODE-based routing

This scenario builds on the dynamic Connect:Direct®configuration by enabling PNODE-based routing.

This configuration uses dynamic routing to determine where a connection is routed. Using dynamic routing will simplify the user migration process and allows you to migrate using batch phases giving you control over where your trading partner can send their files and what system your trading partner can connect to.

To configure PNODE-based routing, you have the option to use one of two Routing Type selections:

PNODE based — used to make backend Connect:Direct server connections by selecting the routing node name specified in the PNODE entry in the netmap. If there is no routing node selected for this PNODE, an error is reported.
PNODE based with fallback — used to make dynamic backend Connect:Direct server connections by selecting routing node name specific in the PNODE entry in the netmap; if no routing information is selected for this PNODE, it will use a default node to make the backend connection.

To configure PNODE-based routing or PNODE-based routing with fallback, you must configure a node definition in the netmap for the PNODE that you route to.
