Edit Engine Definition to Bind to Alternate NIC

If you must use a specific network interface for the Configuration Manager to connect to the engine, configure it on the Secure Proxy Engine Configuration screen. This method might be necessary if the Configuration Manager server has more than one network interface.

To edit the engine definition:

Procedure

  1. If necessary, select Configuration from the menu bar.
  2. Select the engine definition to edit.
  3. Specify the IP address or host name of the network adapter to bind to in the Local bind address field.
  4. Click Save.
  5. Verify that the engine is running. Refer to Start and Stop Secure Proxy on Knowledge Center for instructions.
