Updating data

An erroneous event upload can be updated within the Transparent Supply user interface, by reuploading the data with an identical event ID. Any duplicated event IDs are replaced in the Transparent Supply user interface by the most recent upload, but are not overwritten on blockchain.

If you have questions or need assistance with updating your event data, open a case with IBM Support.

Updating data with data entry forms

You can correct event data that was uploaded with data entry forms in the past 30 days by editing the event records. Only events that are uploaded by using the data entry forms within the Event records tab are displayed on the Event records page. Events that are uploaded with other methods are not visible in the Events records page and cannot be edited with the data entry forms.

To get started, click Data from the side menu, then click the Event records tab.
  1. Select the Record type from the drop-down list. A list of the event records that were submitted within the past 30 days is displayed.
  2. Click the edit icon ("") on the record that you are updating.
  3. Enter the updated information into the form.
  4. Click Submit to update the records.

Updating data with spreadsheets

You can correct event data that was uploaded with spreadsheets by reuploading the spreadsheet with an identical event ID. Using an identical event ID replaces the previous upload in the Transparent Supply user interface, but does not overwrite on blockchain.

To get started, click Data from the side menu, then click the Spreadsheet upload tab.
  1. If you need the spreadsheet template, click the download icon ("") to download the event spreadsheet.
  2. Correct the data in the spreadsheet, but use the same event ID as the event that you are updating.
Note: Using an identical event ID replaces the previous upload in the Transparent Supply user interface, but does not overwrite on blockchain.
  3. Click Upload to upload your spreadsheet.
