LDAP username syntax

LDAP form is used when setting up LDAP authentication in IBM® Storage Defender Copy Data Management.

The following shorthand is used for LDAP form:

  • cn: Canonical Name
  • dn: Distinguished Name
  • rdn: Relative Distinguished Name
  • ou: Organizational Unit
  • dc: Domain Component

Following is a typical username entry in LDAP form:

cn=administrator, cn=users, dc=company, dc=com
