What's new?

The following enhancements are made in this release:

• Support for Red Hat OpenShift 4.14, 4.15, 4.16 with IBM Storage Scale container native v5.2.1.x
• Parallel upgrade of core pods to speed up the upgrade process. For more information, see Parallel upgrade
• During upgrade, node reboots are avoided when possible
• Automatic password rotation for the REST API users defined on the storage cluster to simplify user administration and better comply with your corporate security policies. For more information, see Automatic password rotation
• Must-gather tool uses more space-efficient data collection by default. New ability to specify custom options on run. For more information, see Gather data about the IBM Storage Scale container native cluster
• IBM Storage Scale container native operator is automatically scheduled on non-master nodes if scheduling on master nodes fails

• IBM Storage Scale container native operator restarts automatically when new install.yml is applied. This way, the operator automatically starts the upgrade in case the user did forget to stop the operator before the user applied the install.yaml.
