Explanation
A SAS adapter has failed.
On Storwize® V5000, Storwize V5000E, and FlashSystem 5000, the adapter is on the node
canister system board.
Data:
- Location
is a number indicating the adapter location. Location 0 indicates that the adapter integrated into
the system board is being reported. Other locations indicate an adapter slot. See the node
description for the definition of the adapter slot locations.
User response
- If possible, use the management GUI to run
the suggested actions for the associated service error code.
- If
location 0 is identified, because the adapter is on the system board, replace the node canister
using the remove and replace procedures.
- If a
location other than 0 is identified, use the remove and replace procedures to replace the adapter.
If this procedure does not fix the problem, replace the node canister (system board in 2145-DH8 and
2145-SV1).
