3454 Host and Fibre Channel port must be in same port set.
Explanation
Host that is logged in to a Fibre Channel port. The host and the Fibre Channel port are not included in the same port set. The system will not serve any I/O or return discovery data on such non portset member login.
Event ID 064002 and error code 3454 is for the same error text "Host and Fibre Channel port must be in same portset."
Login that is detected from the host to port that is not part of the same portset the host is a part of. For Fibre Channel host, check "Fibre Channel Connectivity" for the host with state as blocked and for NVMe host, check "NVMe Connectivity" for the host with state as invalid.
To resolve this event, perform one of the following steps:
- Add the Local Port or Port ID with state blocked or invalid to the host portset.
- For Fibre Channel host the user shall get the blocked Local Port from Fibre Channel connectivity page of GUI. This Local Port maps to ID from Fibre Channel ports page that need to be added to the portset the host is a part of.
- For NVME host the user shall get the invalid Port ID from NVMe connectivity page of the GUI. This Port ID maps to ID from Fibre Channel ports page that needs to be added to the portset the host is a part of.
- Remove the zoning between WWPN and WWPNs from the switch.
- For Fibre Channel host the user will get the blocked Local Port from Fibre Channel connectivity page of GUI. The user shall remove the zone involving the WWPN corresponding to the Local Port and host WWPN.
- For NVMe host the user shall get the invalid Port ID from NVMe connectivity page of the GUI. The user shall fetch the WWPN corresponding to the Port ID from Fibre Channel ports page of the GUI. The user shall remove the zone involving the NVMe WWPN and host WWPN.
User response
Host and storage port zoning needs corrections as in portsets.
