Use the Configuration Tool
to unconfigure the database
that is associated with a directory server instance.
Procedure
- On AIX®, Linux, or Solaris systems, log
on as root.
On Windows systems, log on
with a user ID that is a member of the Administrators group.
- Start the Configuration Tool
by entering the following command:idsxcfg
- Click Unconfigure Database in the
navigation pane.
- In the Unconfigure
Database window,
select one of the following options:
- Unconfigure
database
- Removes information about the database from the configuration
file for the directory server instance. However, the database and
its data are left intact. This makes the database inaccessible to
the directory server instance but does not destroy any data in the
database.
- Unconfigure and destroy database
- Deletes the database and its contents and removes information
about the database from the configuration file for the directory server
instance.
- Click Unconfigure.
- Click Yes to confirm the
operation.
