Crash issues

Take the following steps if the issue involves a system crash.

Procedure

Gather the following information on the server that crashed:

  1. If the instance was started by a service script, gather the following files:
    • service log
    • iris.service file
    • nohup.out
  2. Gather the operating system logs for the instance, for example, /var/log/messages.
  3. Gather the crashed instance's cfg directory, for example, /opt/ibmsaferpayments_1/cfg.
  4. Gather the crashed instance's log directory, for example, /opt/ibmsaferpayments_1/log/.
  5. Upload the files to the case. For more information, see Sending information to IBM Support.
