Rational Programming Patterns command line reference

With the Rational Programming Patterns command lines, you can extract the Pacbase data and migrate it to Rational Team Concert or to a System z environment. Some commands are dedicated to the generation. Finally, some technical commands enable you to manage the local workspace.

The Rational Programming Patterns batch command is available the rpp folder of the installation directory, under the root of the Rational® Software Delivery Platform. This command is named rpp.bat. You can also use lrpp.bat with the daemon to run the commands.

Syntax of the command lines

From a command prompt, enter the command. Each command has its specific options. You can see them in the help that is displayed when you enter the command options.

You must follow the syntax. In the command line, replace [options] with the command options. These options are listed in the table of parameters on the help page that documents each command. Assign a value to each option. If errors are found, the rpp.bat command returns -1 in the ERRORLEVEL DOS variable.
Note: The command lines must not be greater than the maximum length that is supported by the operating system.
