IBM RPA Studio's recorder does not map possibly due to display scaling

The IBM RPA Studio's recorder tool does not trigger or map when you hold the mapping keys. It fails to map elements from an application.

Symptoms

There is no visual cue. Either the recorder does not start or it starts but it does not map any elements.

Causes

You are using a screen scale other than 100%.

Resolving the problem

  1. Set your Windows display to a 100% scale. For more information, see View display settings in Windows 10External Link.
  2. Restart IBM RPA Studio.
Note:If you are using two or more screens, make sure to set all of them to 100% scaling.
