Activating the TLS encryption
Learn how to activate the TLS encryption.
Procedure
- Go to the Server Manager, click Dashboard > Tools > Internet information services IIS 6.0 Manager.
- Right-click on SMTP Virtual Server, and click Properties.
- In the General tab, click Enable logging > Advanced.
- Change the port to one of these ports: 25, 587, 465, or 2525.
- Click OK.
- In the Access tab, select Require TLS encryption checkbox, then click Relay.
- Click Add.
- Enter the IP of the server that you are installing the SMTP server relay, and the loopback IP and the IP of the server that is installed the IBM RPA on premises solution.
- Click OK.

- In the Delivery tab, click Outbound Security > Basic authentication.
- Enter the user name and password from the e-mail account that you want to relay and click TLS encryption > OK.
- In the Delivery tab, click Advanced...
- In the Fully Qualified Domain Name field, enter the SMTP relay FQDN of the server.
- In the Smart host field, enter the mail server.
- Click OK.
- Optional: Restart de SMTP service.
