Bot Runtime data encryption

Data traffic between the Bot Runtime and the IBM RPA server is encrypted with HTTPS over TLS 1.2. The Bot Runtime communicates with the IBM RPA server only when commands need cloud-computing.

The Bot Runtime saves logs in a local file. When a bot ends its operation, the Bot Runtime sends the logs to the IBM RPA server by using a secure HTTPS over TLS 1.2 connection. Logs in the IBM RPA server environment are encrypted at the disk level. For more information, see Microsoft's Azure Data Encryption at rest External link security documentation.

The Bot Runtime can request credentials from the IBM RPA Vault. For more information, see IBM RPA Vault security aspects.
