Queue Provider

This document describes the Queue Provider page in the IBM RPA Control Center.

You can configure new queue providers in this page.

Before you begin

  • You must be an administrator in the environment.

IBM RPA supports the following queue providers:

For the following procedures, see the supported queue provider documentation pages to fill out the fields.

For Connect to SQL MQ (connectSqlMQ), use a database connection as a queue provider.

Note:Starting from version 21.0.2, IBM RPA on premises offering now supports IBM MQ. If you want to change the default queue provider, install the IBM MQ on the server machine, define the IBM MQ Queue Provider, and then set the System Queue Provider to IBM MQ.

Procedure for creating queue providers

  1. Click the New Queue Provider button.
  2. Select the supported queue provider.
  3. In Name, enter a name to your queue provider.
  4. In Address, enter the address to the queue provider.
  5. In Port, enter the port to the queue provider.
  6. In Timeout, enter a maximum timeout for the queue provider to respond.
  7. In Queue manager, enter the name to the queue manager.
  8. In Channel, enter details to the queue channel.
  9. In QueueProvider.CipherSpec, enter the cryptographic specifications for the queue provider.
  10. In QueueProvider.SslName, enter the SSL name for the queue provider.
  11. In QueueProvider.TlsFriendlyName, enter the TLS name for the queue provider.
  12. Click Save.

Procedure for editing queue providers

  1. On the desired queue provider, click the vertical ellipsis button ⋮ > Edit.
  2. In Name, enter a name to your queue provider.
  3. In Address, enter the address to the queue provider.
  4. In Port, enter the port to the queue provider.
  5. In Timeout, enter a maximum timeout for the queue provider to respond.
  6. In Queue manager, enter the name to the queue manager.
  7. In Channel, enter details to the queue channel.
  8. In QueueProvider.CipherSpec, enter the cryptographic specifications for the queue provider.
  9. In QueueProvider.SslName, enter the SSL name for the queue provider.
  10. In QueueProvider.TlsFriendlyName, enter the TLS name for the queue provider.
  11. Click Save.
