Enabling forwarding for IBM RPA on Red Hat® OpenShift® Container Platform

The Forwarding Enabled option is enabled by default and the rpa-audit-syslog-sidecar container controls how logs are stored. When this option is disabled, IBM RPA controls how logs are stored.

Procedure

Follow the instructions in your Red Hat® OpenShift® Container Platform console:

  1. Click Operator > Installed Operators section.
  2. Expand Audit in the form view.
  3. Set Forwarding Enabled to on or off.

In the YAML view, you can manually enter the audit log configuration. Include the following code to enable or disable logging on rsyslog in the spec object:

audit:
  fowardingEnabled: true|false

What to do next

With this volume receiving and storing log data, you can also connect with a security information and event management (SIEM) system over Fluentd for monitoring and analysing log events.
