Exporting dashboard as a PDF document

This document explains how to export an IBM Robotic Process Automation dashboard to a PDF document.

Before you begin

User must have the Manage dashboards permission. See Checking user permissions for instructions on how to check your user's permissions.

Procedure

The following procedure describes how to export an IBM Robotic Process Automation dashboard to a PDF document.

  1. On the Viewer or Edit Mode, open the dashboard that you want to export.
  2. Click the Export to Export to icon. icon.
  3. On the Export To window, select PDF.
  4. On File Name, enter the name of your PDF document.
  5. On Page Layout, choose the page layout of your PDF document. See more in Page Layout.
    1. If you chose Portrait or Landscape, on Scale Mode, select the scale method. See more in Scale Mode.
      1. If you selected Use Scale Factor, on Scale Factor, enter the multiplier to scale the dashboard.
      2. If you selected Auto Fit to Pages Width, on Auto Fit Page Count, enter the number of pages that represent the width of the dashboard.
  6. On Size, select the size of your PDF document. See more in Size.
  7. Optional: On Show Title, select the checkbox if you want to put a title on your exported PDF file.
    1. If you checked the Show Title option, on Title, enter the title that appears on your PDF document.
  8. Optional: On Include, select the items that you want to include in your exported PDF. You can include Filters and Parameters.
    1. If you select one or more items to include, on Position select the position to include the items in the exported PDF document. See more in Position.
  9. Click Export.

Page Layout

Page layout defines the layout orientation of your PDF document. The following table lists the possible layouts and their orientations:

Layout Orientation
Portrait The vertical side of the page is longer than the horizontal side.
Landscape The horizontal side of the page is longer than the horizontal side.
Auto IBM RPA automatically sets the page layout as Portrait or Landscape, according to the dashboard's size.

Size

Size defines the dimensions of your exported PDF document. The following table lists the possible sizes and its dimensions:

Legal 8.5 x 14 inches
Executive 7.25 x 10.5 inches
A5 5.8 x 8.3 inches
A4 8.3 x 11.7 inches
A3 11.7 x 16.5 inches

Scale Mode

Scale Mode defines the method to scale your dashboard on the PDF document. The following table lists the possible scale modes:

Scale Mode Scale
None Does not scale the dashboard to fit the exported PDF page.
Use Scale Factor Scales the dashboard size according to a multiplier defined in Scale Factor.
Auto Fit to Pages Width Scales the dashboard to fit its width with the number of pages that are defined in Auto Fit Page Count.

Position

Position defines the position of the filters and parameters that are used on the exported dashboard. The following table lists the possible positions:

Position Position on the PDF document
Below The filters and parameters are added below the exported dashboard on the PDF file.
Separate Page The filters and parameters are added to a new page at the end of the document, separated from the dashboard.

Result

A PDF document is exported and saved to your computer.
