Managing Identity Provider groups

Learn how to map and manage Identity Provider groups on IBM RPA Control Center.

About this task

This procedure shows how to map an Identity Provider group to an IBM RPA team. When you import an Identity Provider group, it becomes part of an IBM RPA team. On the IBM RPA Control Center, you can edit IBM RPA teams only. To edit details of an Identity Provider group, do it from within Identity Provider.

Before you begin

To use Identity Provider as method to manage users and teams, you must connect your Identity Provider during the IBM RPA installation. For more information, see Planning your environment to manage users.

Procedure for mapping Identity Provider groups to IBM RPA teams

Mapping the Identity Provider group

  1. From the Access menu, click the Users tab.
  2. Click the Create user button.
  3. Select Map Identity Provider groups to teams.
  4. Search for the Identity Provider group's names and then, select these ones from the checkbox to add to IBM RPA teams.
  5. Click Next.

Assigning the Identity Provider group to IBM RPA teams

  1. On the Access pane from the Create user window, select the teams that you want to assign for the Identity Provider groups you selected.
  2. Click Next.
  3. Review the summary from the users details and roles.
  4. Click Add.

Procedure for viewing Identity Provider groups

From the Access menu, click the Teams tab to view the team you choose as the IBM RPA team of the Identity Provider group. Identity Provider groups are assigned to the IBM RPA team as users.

Procedure for removing an existing Identity Provider group

  1. Select the IBM RPA team that contains the Identity Provider group.
  2. Click Manage users button.
  3. Clear the checkbox of the Identity Provider group you want to remove.
