IBM RPA Studio authentication method
You authenticate in IBM RPA Studio by using your user email and password, the same you use to log in to your environment in IBM RPA Control Center. The following diagram defines the authentication process. IBM RPA components comprise IBM RPA Studio, IBM RPA Launcher, IBM RPA Vault, and IBM RPA Control Center. The authentication enforces the OAuth 2.0 Bearer Token method by default.
Single sign-on
In the IBM RPA on premises offering, you can configure the single sign-on (SSO) authentication method. When you configure SSO, all client-side IBM RPA components use this authentication method. For more information, see IBM Robotic Process Automation Single Sign-On.
HTTPS data in transit protocol
All traffic data between the IBM RPA components and the IBM RPA server environment uses the HTTPS protocol as a layer of protection. The HTTPS protocol encrypts the data that moves between the computer and the IBM RPA's API, protecting the data from malicious users.
