Enabling MSMQ Active Directory Domain Services Integration

Learn how to enable Microsoft™ Message Queue (MSMQ) Active Directory Domain Services Integration. This procedure is required if the IBM Robotic Process Automation on premises client couldn't enable said services integration during the installation procedure.

Before you begin

  • You need administrator rights to do the following task.
  • The procedure might differ slightly per operating system. Refer to Microsoft's documentation for further details.

⚠ Attention: If you don't enable MSMQ Active Directory Domain Services Integration, you can't use the following IBM Robotic Process Automation technologies:

  • Scheduling of RPA scripts
  • Orchestration of RPA scripts

Procedure

  1. Open the Start Menu and type Turn Windows features on or off. Click the result with the same name.

    • Alternatively, you can navigate to Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features and click Turn Windows features on or off.

  2. On the Windows Features window, open the Microsoft Message Queue (MSMQ) Server node, then open the Microsoft Message Queue (MSMQ) Server Core node, and then select MSMQ Active Directory Domain Services Integration.

  3. Click OK and wait until the operation is complete.

  4. Restart the machine.
