IBM RPA role-based access control (RBAC)
Role-based access control (RBAC) is a mechanism to grant users access to specific resources, based on the roles that these users play inside an environment.
The role-based access control (RBAC) model brings security improvements to the environment and to the business. It can separate access to sensible resources, privileged users can restrict access to important assets, and configuration areas that
must not be available for every user with access to the IBM RPA environment. RBAC design and implementation follow the NIST Standard ,
being compliant with security standards and requirements.
IBM RPA introduces a permission model based on roles, where permissions can be grouped and granted on-demand with RBAC. It includes the possibility to import user registries from an LDAP server in environments with single sign-on (SSO). IBM RPA creates new default roles, including full compatibility for users from previous versions without impact on the previous permissions system.
