Role-based access
Users of an IBM RPA Control Center environment can access environment resources based on their role. You can use the five default roles available, or create your custom roles. For more information about roles and permissions, see Planning your environment to manage users.
The following list gives a brief explanation of each role.
Platform administrator
The Platform Administrator role is available to the user that you define during the installation of the IBM RPA server. This role can also be assigned to other users.
Platform administrators are
responsible for managing and maintaining the environment. In on premises environments, they are also responsible for the server environment configuration.
Tenant administrator
The Tenant Administrator role also is available to the user that you define during the installation of the IBM RPA server. This role can also be assigned to other users.
Tenant administrators are responsible
for managing the regular operation of tenants and their configuration.
Bot developer
The Bot developers are responsible for designing and developing bots.
Business user
The Business user role has permissions to view and manage some resources to optimize the daily work.
Business operator
The Business operator role has permissions to view and manage some resources such as schedule bots and control their operations. Also, monitor jobs, assign computers policies, view dashboards and perform
audit activities.
