Bot fails to start Microsoft Edge Browser

Symptoms

Bots fail to initiate Microsoft Edge browser instances, resulting in automation disruptions.

Causes

The main cause to this issue is that the IBM RPA server is unable to download newer Microsfot Edge driver versions.

Affected Offerings

IBM RPA on premises, IBM RPA on Red Hat® OpenShift® Container Platform, and IBM RPA SaaS.

Resolving this issue

To solve this issue, you must manually download the web driver and place it in the directory where IBM RPA installs it.
