Create a secure connection

If your organization requires secure connections, configure the properties on a connection to use encryption.

Procedure

  1. In the New IBM i Connection view, click Create a connection with advanced properties.

  2. Follow the steps of the wizard.
    On the panel IBM i Communications Configuration, select Use secure communications methods.

  3. Complete the rest of the steps of the wizard and click Finish.
    Note: Secure connections also require that encryption is enabled on your host by your system administrator.
