TCP/IP setup on Microsoft SQL Server

About this task

You must enable TCP/IP on Microsoft SQL Server to use it with Management Console.

To enable TCP/IP on MS SQL Server, do the following:

Procedure

  1. Open MSSQLServer Configuration Manager.
  2. Under SQL Server Network Configuration, click Protocols for MSSQLSERVER.
  3. Right-click TCP/IP, then choose Enable from the menu.
