Accessing help content from an intranet server

After you set up the help contents on a server for the web client, you can access the same help content from the Eclipse client.

Before you begin

You must have installed the help content to a local server by following the instructions in Updating help content from the web or Downloading help content from the Help download site.

Procedure

  1. When you install the Eclipse client using Installation Manager, on the Help System configuration page select Access help from a server on your intranet.
  2. For Host, type the name of the server where the help content is installed.
  3. For Port, type the port used by the server where the help content is installed.
  4. For Path, type /ram.help.
  5. Complete the Eclipse client installation.
  6. Start the Eclipse client.
  7. Click Help > Help Contents to verify that the help contents are available.
