Hardware requirements for the framework server

The framework server provides core product directories and is installed on the Rational® Build Forge® Management Console host.

Memory	Minimum 512 MB Note: Memory is for the framework server only. Other products have additional memory requirements, see their documentation for this information.
Disk space	Core product directories: Minimum is 1 GB, includes space required for the provided Java™ SDKs (software development kits). Media directory: The space required depends on the product installation and patch per operating system that you install in the media directory. To estimate space requirements for these files, see your WebSphere® documentation. Environments directory: Minimum is 1 GB. The actual space required is affected by the following factors: WebSphere cells that you define and the number of applications deployed per cell. The size of Web application files; for example EAR files, shared libraries and other files. The cell configuration files that are copied from WebSphere and saved to the RAFW_HOME/user/environments directory. To estimate space requirements for enterprise applications, see your WebSphere documentation. Temporary directories: Minimum space is 1 GB for the logs and work directories. The Java JDK files are extracted to the work directory during installation and all activity is recorded in the logs directory. You can periodically delete the contents of the work and log directories to reclaim space.
