Updating user preferences

You can set your preferences, such as locale, in IBM QRadar SIEM.

Procedure

  1. Click the user icon, and then click User Preferences to access your user information.
  2. Update your preferences.
    Option Description
    Username

    Displays your user name. You cannot edit this field.
    Password

    QRadar user passwords are hashed with PBKDF2 by using a work factor (iterations) of 600,000 before the passwords are stored.

    The password must meet the minimum length and complexity requirements that are enforced.

    Email Address
    The email address must meet the following requirements:
    • Minimum of 10 characters
    • Maximum of 255 characters
    Locale

    QRadar is available in the following languages: English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Japanese, Korean, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Russian, and Portuguese (Brazil).

    If you choose a different language, the user interface is displayed in English. Other associated cultural conventions, such as character type, collation, format of date and time, and currency unit are used.
    Enable Popup Notifications

    If you want to enable pop-up system notifications to be displayed on your user interface, select this check box.
  3. To change the UI background color mode, go to the Theme drop down, and select the Light or Dark option.​
  4. Click Save.
