Before you install

You must complete the installation process for an IBM QRadar SIEM Console before you install IBM QRadar Risk Manager. As a best practice, install QRadar SIEM and QRadar Risk Manager on the same network switch.

Before you install the QRadar Risk Manager evaluation appliance, ensure that you have:

space for a two-unit appliance
rack rails and shelving that are mounted

Optionally, you might want a USB keyboard and standard VGA monitor to access the QRadar SIEM Console.
