Creating an authorized service token for QRadar Network Threat Analytics

IBM® QRadar® Network Threat Analytics requires an authorized service token so that it can authenticate to share information with other IBM QRadar components.

You can use an existing token but it must be configured with the Admin security profile and user role.

IBM QRadar on Cloud administrators can learn how to add and manage authorized service tokens by reading Authorized service tokens in the IBM QRadar on Cloud documentation.

Procedure

  1. Log in to QRadar and click the Admin tab.
  2. Click System configuration > User Management > Authorized Services.
  3. In the Authorized Service Management window, click Add.
  4. In the Authorized Service Label field, type a name for this authorized service.

The name can be up to 255 characters in length.

  5. From the Security Profile list, select Admin.
  6. From the User Role list, select Admin.
  7. In the Expiry Settings, type or select a date that you want this service to expire.

If an expiry date is not necessary, set This Authorized Service expires to off.

  8. Click Save.
    The authorized service is created.
  9. In the Authorized Service Created Successfully window, copy the token field.
Make sure that you save the token information in a secure location for future use.
  10. Click Close.
