Synchronizing Ariel data

You can pair all hosts that store event and flow data with a host in the destination site and run Ariel data synchronization.

Before you begin

The main site must be paired to the corresponding destination site. See, Pairing managed hosts.

About this task

Ariel synchronization begins for a host when the host pairing process for that host is complete.

After pairing your host, a One last step window opens.

Procedure

  1. On the primary site run the command /opt/ibm/si/dr/bin/dr_create_ssh.sh -I destination_site_paired_host_ip .

This command creates the ssh keys that are used to copy data from the main site to the destination site. Communication between the main site host and its paired destination host allows Ariel data synchronization to occur.

    Ariel copy begins automatically.
  2. On the destination site run the command /opt/ibm/si/dr/bin/dr_create_ssh.sh -I main_site_paired_host_ip.
This command synchronizes data back to the main site host, if you have migrated to the destination site.
