Editing queries of particular objects in visual projects

You can quickly view and edit a query that is used by a particular object in the visual project.

Before you begin

The query used by the object of the visual project must have parameters.

About this task

To open and edit a query of a particular object in a visual project, perform the following steps:

Procedure

  1. From the Project Explorer view, expand the node of the object for which you want to view the specified query.
  2. In the tree of the object, expand the QueryParameters node and select the item containing query parameters.
    The names of the parameters and their current values are displayed in the Properties view. You can change the values of the query parameters.
  3. Right-click the selected item with query parameters and select Open Query from the menu. The query used by the object is opened in the Visual Query editor. You can modify the query in this editor.
