Stopping scheduled task

You can terminate or stop a scheduled task in QMF using the Request Stop button.

About this task

You can only stop a scheduled task that is currently in a running state. If multiple users are trying to run the same scheduled task, the scheduled task in the running state will prevent any further runs by disabling the Run button for other users.

The currently running task will also show a run indicator in the Task Run History column.

Note:
  • For QMF for WebSphere®, this button is visible only to the admins.
  • For QMF for Workstation, this button is visible to all users in the Remote Tasks window.

To stop scheduled task:

Procedure

  1. Select View > Scheduled Tasks. The Task List window opens.
  2. Select a repository connection.
    In QMF for Workstation:
    1. Select the Remote tasks tab.
    2. From the Repository connection list, select a repository connection for the remote tasks.
    In QMF for WebSphere:
    1. From the Repository connection list, select a repository connection.
  3. Select the task you want to stop, and then click the Request Stop button.
    Note: You can only stop process related to QMF scheduled tasks and cannot stop any connections or queries initiated by drivers as part of scheduled tasks.
