Adding dictionaries to Simple Text Analytics projects

You can add your own dictionaries to a Simple Text Analytics project.

About this task

You can use any document that contains a result set as the source for the dictionary. For example, the source can be a simple text file, XML file, Query file, or database file.

To add your own dictionary, perform the following procedure:

  1. On the Dictionaries page of the New Simple Text Analytics Project wizard, click Add dictionary to open the New Dictionary wizard.
  2. In the Dictionary field, specify the name of the dictionary that is displayed in the Entities Explorer tree.
  3. In the Result set field, specify the path to the source of the dictionary. Click the ellipsis (…) to open the Result Set Source window, and select the required source from file or repository.
  4. Select the column with required information from the Source column list. If you selected text file or another source with one column, it is selected automatically.
  5. Click Finish to close the New Dictionary wizard. All the specified dictionaries are displayed in the User dictionaries table on the Dictionaries page of the New Simple Text Analytics Project wizard.
