Specifying LDAP Authenticator fields
You must specify the LDAP Authentication fields if you have selected LDAP security for the database repository.
- Authenticator type
- Use this field to specify the type of authentication that will
occur. You can choose:
- Bind: to use an LDAP bind operation.
- Compare: to use a string compare with the value of the Password attribute and that of a user's entry.
- User's password attribute
- Use this field to specify the attribute that will be retrieved in a user's entry as a password. This field is used only if you specified Compare in the Authenticator type field.
- Append base DN
- Select this check box to specify that when authenticating a user, the base DN will be appended to a user's RDN. This field is used only if you specified Bind in the Authenticator type field.
- Allow empty password
- Select this check box to allow an empty password.
