QMF Data Service data
sources allow users to work with tables provided by QMF Data Service.
Before you begin
To be able to work with data sources from QMF Server, make sure that Java
Runtime Environment (JRE) version 8 or later is installed in your environment.
About this task
To create a QMF Data Service data
source, perform the following steps:
Procedure

In the Repositories view, on the Data Sources
tab, click Create a Data Source. The Create New Data
Source wizard opens.

In the wizard, select QMF Data Service and
click Next.

In the Data Source Name field, specify the name for the data
source.

In the Connection Parameters area, specify host server name, port
number, and encoding.
Note: If the encoding that you want to specify for the data source is not present in the
Encoding list, you can type it manually.
- Click Set User Information.
- In the User Information window, you
can specify user information for accessing the data source and allow
users to save password.
- If you want to access tables that are provided by one of
the server subsystems, select the Subsystem check
box. From the list, select the subsystem that you want to work with.
If you want to access virtual tables, leave the check box
clear.

To test the connection, click Test
Connection.
- Click Finish.
