Specifying background properties for dialog templates

You can specify background properties for the content of a dialog template to customize its view.

About this task

To specify the background of the dialog template:

Procedure

  1. In the New Dialog Template Wizard, select Background from the Properties list.
  2. From the Pattern list, select the type of the pattern that you want to apply to the background.
  3. In the Color field, specify the color for the background. Use the ellipsis (…) button to select a color from the palette.
  4. Move the Transparency slider to set the transparency for the background color.
  5. In the Contrast color field, specify the contrast color for the content borders. Use the ellipsis (…) button to select a color from the palette.
  6. Move the Transparency slider to set the transparency for the background contrast color.
  7. If you selected the gradient pattern, in the Gradient type list, select that gradient that you want to apply to the content.
  8. If you want to set an image as a background, in the Image source field, click the ellipsis (…) button and specify the image that you want to use as a background.
  9. If you use an image as a background, you can specify its location in the Image anchor list and tiling in the Image tiling list.
  10. Click Finish to save the changes for this dialog template and close the dialog template window.
