With the help of remote scheduled tasks you can perform
different operations such as running queries and exporting query results
using a remote server.
About this task
While scheduling a remote task, you can apply a schedule to the task and specify the time
zone for the scheduled task. To filter the local scheduled tasks and see their run history, use the
Advance Filters area. Set the filter criteria by using the drop-down
lists.To schedule remote tasks, complete the following steps:
Procedure
- You must have a web service connection to QMF for WebSphere® to use it as a remote
server.

The Task List window opens.

On the Remote tasks tab, click Select Repository
Connection and use the Select Repository Connection dialog to
select a connection for remote tasks.
- Select the task that you want to schedule and click Schedule
Task.

Specify the schedules that you want to apply to the task in the
Schedules list.

To add a schedule, click Add Schedule.
- Optional:
To remove a schedule, which you do not need, click Remove
Schedule.

Select the execution frequency of the task from the Type of schedule
list.

Specify the schedule details. The options may vary depending on the selected execution
frequency.

Time zone: Specifies time zone for scheduling tasks. The
values are sorted as per UTC time. Select the time zone for the scheduled task. For
example, if you want to schedule a task according to the New York time zone, while
being in India, you can do so by selecting the time zone as
America/New_York from the Time zone
drop-down.
Note: For QMF for WebSphere, the default value of
the time zone is set as per the time zone of the browser. For QMF for Workstation, the default value of
the time zone is set as per the time zone of the operating system.

Specify Begin time and other details for scheduling your
tasks depending on the execution frequency selected.

Local Time: Specifies the begin time for the scheduled task
as per the system from which the task is being scheduled.
- To disable or enable the task execution, select or clear the Disable
task check box.
- Click OK to close the scheduler window.
