Editing user credentials for scheduled tasks

You can change the user credentials for repositories, repository connections,, repository storages, and data sources that are used in a scheduled task.

About this task

User information, such as user name and password, is used in scheduled tasks to access repositories and data sources and to establish repository connections. The user information is changed regularly for the security reasons. To change the user credentials for one or several repositories, repository connections,, repository storages, or data sources, perform the following procedure:

Procedure

  1. From the main menu, select View > Scheduled Tasks.
    The Task List window opens.
  2. In the Scheduled Tasks view, selectSelect the tasks whose user credentials you want to edit and click Task Credentials.
    The Task Credentials window opens.
  3. To see the repository, repository connection,, repository storage, or data source whose user credentials need to be edited, select all check boxes on the Specify tasks credentials page and click Validate.
  4. Double-click the repository, repository connection,, repository storage, or data source whose user name and password you want to edit.
    The User Information window opens.
  5. Specify the new user credentials for the selected object and click OK.
    Note: If you want to change the passwords for all repositories, repository connections,, repository storages, or data sources that are associated with the same user, select the Change all [ObjectName] passwords for this user check box.
  6. To ensure that the entered user information is correct, select the check boxes of the edited objects in the Task Credentials window and click Validate.
  7. Click OK.
