Working with Cloud data sources

QMF supports cloud data sources, such as Amazon Athena, Amazon RedShift, and Snowflake.

You can connect to Amazon Redshift, Amazon Athena, and Snowflake cloud data sources using JDBC connection from QMF for Workstation and QMF for WebSphere.

Consider the following caveats while connecting to the cloud data sources:

Repository Storage Creation for Redshift, Athena, and Snowflake data sources is not supported.
Migration of tables to and from Athena data source and the import of tables containing complex data types (MAP, ARRAY, STRUCT, VACUUM) are not supported.
