Assigning administrative privileges

QMF administrative privileges should be given only to those users who will be responsible for creating and managing repositories.

If your repository will be stored in a database and you want to protect your resources, only users familiar with administering databases should be given QMF administrative privileges. In many environments having a single user responsible for managing repositories centralizes and streamlines control over database resources.

Those users without QMF administrative privileges do not have the QMF for Workstation Administrator component installed and must be given the information necessary to connect to a repository that is created by the QMF administrator. Users without the Administrator component can create personal repositories.
