About resource limits
Resource limits govern your access to a data source based on the user ID that you use to access the data source.
Your user ID can belong to multiple resource limits groups. In addition, your user ID can belong to multiple resource groups that are defined for multiple data sources. Each resource limits group that you belong to can have one or more schedules, each with a different set of resource limits. The schedule in effect specifies what associated set of resource limits are in effect for your user ID when you access a data source.
Most resource limits are checked before a query leaves the workstation. The query never reaches your target database for evaluation if one of these resource limits is violated. Other resource limits are evaluated after your target database has started to run the query. In this case, any database limiting rules take precedence over QMF resource limits.
The resource limits for your user ID are set by your QMF administrator. Only the person who administers QMF can change any of the resource limits values. All of the information displayed is read-only.
