Creating charts in the Display editor

You can create a ready-made chart for a visual query result set by selecting the columns in the Display editor.

Before you begin

You must run a visual query and switch to the Display tab.

To create a chart in the Display editor, do the following actions:

In the Result set pane select the columns that you want to include in the chart by holding the Ctrl key and clicking each column.
With the mouse button pressed, drag the columns to the Chart tree in the Display modes pane. Release the mouse button.
A new chart appears in the Chart tree. This chart becomes default.
You can modify the created chart. For more information, see the Editing charts topic.
Click the Run Query toolbar button to display the created chart on the Results tab.

The chart that you created for a visual query result set is stored with this result set.
