Data source connections and visual projects

Visual projects (visual reports and dashboards) are intended to be shared across the enterprise. In order to facilitate sharing and the distribution of these visual projects, QMF for Workstation ties the query to a connection information alias (rather than associating the object to a specific data source).

You must set up a connection information alias for each data source that will provide data for these objects.
