Representing steps in a workflow
You need to meet with the client to understand what the representing steps are within the business process.
Before you begin
Procedure
- Discuss with the client the steps that are defined in the business process. The output from this discussion becomes the process flow. Similar to a use case, there is one action, or task, per process flow. If there are multiple tasks, there will be multiple process flows.
- Identify the steps that are needed to be considered for the workflow. You will be providing the solution developer with only the steps that the workflow must have.
- Identify the performers for each step.
- Determine how the client wants the collaboration area set up. How many different views are needed?
