Using Lock management console

The Lock management console allows you to release or recreate Product Information Management (PIM) database locks.

Proceed as follows to use the Lock management console.

Click Utilities > Locks (DB) > Lock management console. You can perform following tasks in the Lock management console page.

Object type	Select and specify the type as either Catalog, Category, Collaboration areas, Hierarchy, Item, Path for category, or Workflow.
Action	Specify as either of the following. Release locks - Release database locks from the specified object type. Recreate locks - Recreate the entry of the specified object type in the database.
Lock type	Specify as either Master or Slave. You can specify a lock type only for the Action > Release locks.
	Click to refresh the page.
	Select an object, and click to release the lock.
	Select an object, and click to recreate a lock.
	Click to delete the locked object. This option is enabled only for Action > Release locks and Lock type > Slave.
