Associating decision types to rule projects

Advanced Business Rules solution requires that the association between items or categories in Product Master and rule projects in WebSphere® Operational Decision Manager to be made by your solution code. Your solution must populate the decision type attributes in the item or category before the business user accesses the Manage Decisions tab to work with rules for the item or category.

About this task

Your solution can use existing capabilities in Product Master to populate these decision types attributes when a new item or category is created. For example, you could implement a post processing extension point for the catalog or the hierarchy to populate these values when a new item or category is saved.
