Using IBM MDMPIM Suspect Duplicate Processing Report

IBM Product Master allows you to run a report at the catalog level to identify suspected duplicate items. The IBM MDMPIM Suspect Duplicate Processing Report generates a MicrosoftMicrosoft Excel workbook that lists the suspected duplicates for each item in the specified catalog. This report provides valuable insights to help manage duplicate entries and maintain data quality.
Procedure
To use the report, proceed as follows.
- Go to the .
- In the Job type drop-down list, select Report jobs.
- In the Reports jobs page, select IBM MDMPIM Suspect Duplicate Processing Report.
- Click Manage parameters. The Manage parameters pop-up window opens.
- In the Manage parameters pop-up window, specify the catalog name in the IBM MDMPIM Suspect Duplicate Processing Report Spec/CatalogName field for which you want to run this report, and click Save.
- Optional: In the Reports jobs page, click IBM MDMPIM
Suspect Duplicate Processing Report. You can specify a schedule for this report as
described in the Adding or editing a job schedule.
To run the report immediately, click Add run.
- After a successful report job run, access the report in one of the following ways.
- Through
Show notifications
- On the upper-right corner of the IBM Product Master user interface after you receive a notification click .
- Click IBM MDMPIM Suspect Duplicate Processing Report job.
- In the Job details pop-up window, you can see the job name, job run start and completion time, job status, and summary details.
- In the Job summary column, click Download report link to download the output as a Microsoft Excel workbook file.
- Through
Generate report jobs
- In the Job type drop-down list, select Generate report jobs.
- Find the row for IBM MDMPIM Suspect Duplicate Processing Report, and click the link under the Download report column to download the output as a Microsoft Excel workbook file.

- The downloaded Microsoft Excel workbook has the
following columns.
Catalog Name The name of the catalog that was processed. Entry ID The unique identifier for the item entry in the catalog. Entry Name The name of the item entry in the catalog. Suspected Duplicate Entry ID The unique identifier of the suspected duplicate item. Suspected Duplicate Entry Name The name of the suspected duplicate item. Matching Score The score indicating the level of similarity between the entries. The value of this field indicates the likelihood that two items are duplicates. A higher score typically suggests a stronger
match.
