Performing Suspect Duplicate Processing
Suspect Duplicate Processing involves searching, matching, and if applicable merging data from an Operational catalog to a Master catalog.
Procedure
To perform Suspect Duplicate Processing for an item, proceed as follows:
- Log in to the Persona-based UI. The Home page opens.
- In the Home page, locate <Container Name> SDP Collaboration Area.
- Click Product Enrichment to open the Product Enrichment page.
- Click Add to add an item.
- Select the new item, and click Open.

In the Attribute tab, enter the details for the new item, and click
Save.
Important: In SDP, do not add Reference Field in an attribute collection and map it to a workflow or container as a mandatory attribute because the value is system-generated.
- Click SDP Step to open the SDP Step page.
- Click Suspect Duplicate Processing tab. A table displays a list of suspected duplicate values. The matching score is calculated based on the Lucene scoring formula of the OpenSearch feature. The duplicates are displayed in the descending order of the matching score.

Select a suspected duplicate value (highlighted in color) to see a table displaying the
following details:
- Attributes
- Displays the attributes of the item.
- Current entry
- Displays the value of the attribute in the Operational catalog.
- Matching score
- Displays the matching score, in percentage as compared to the values of the attribute in the Master catalog.

You can perform the following actions:
- If the suspected duplicate is a duplicate, click Mark as Match.
- If the suspected duplicate is a golden copy, click No Match.
- If you select Mark as Match, you can merge the value of the suspected duplicate.
- To merge, select the row and click Merge. You can also click Merge all differences to merge all the differences.
- From the single-edit page, click Done to complete the merge, and process the item to the next step.
- From the Explorer page, click Save to complete the merge.
Important: You cannot merge checked-out items from either operational or the master catalog. - If you want to go back and select any other suspected duplicate, click Change
Selection. Important: You cannot change the selection after merging.
The single-edit page for the item of the master catalog that has duplicates, displaysbadge in the header. Click this badge to navigate back to the Suspect Duplicate Processing tab to view the list of duplicates.
Click a duplicate item to open it in the single-edit page. Clickto navigate back to the single-edit page for the item of the master catalog that has this duplicate.
