Automating SDP

SDP feature requires you to manually open each item and make a match or no match decision. This is mostly a time-consuming and tedious activity. You can automate the SDP process so that entries are automatically flagged without any manual intervention.

Before you begin

Ensure that you completed and verified the following:
This feature adds a step to the existing workflow process:
  • Product enrichment
  • Automated SDP (new step)
  • SDP processing step
When you add data into the Product enrichment step and move the entries to Automated SDP step, based on the comparison of matching score with the threshold, the algorithm decides whether it’s a match or a no match and takes the appropriate decision.
  • If the item is designated as a match, then the item is not created in the Master catalog and an entry is into the Operational catalog.
  • If the item is designated as a no match (match score is less than the threshold value), then the item is created in the Master catalog.
You can bypass the feature by setting the value of the Do_AutoSDP attribute to true. When enabled, all the items directly move from the Product Enrichment step to the SDP step.
Note: Depending on the item in the Operational catalog, you need to manually merge any data from the current item to the Master catalog item.
