Hierarchy Mapping Console

You can use the Hierarchy Mapping Console to map categories of one hierarchy to other categories within another hierarchy so that you can categorize an item to a category in the first hierarchy and the same item is automatically categorized to the second hierarchy.

The Hierarchy Mapping Console displays the hierarchy mappings as rows in a table. To customize the columns that are included in the table, click Customize button in the upper right corner of the table to display the Properties section. Click directly on the column header to sort through that particular column. To search for specific hierarchy mappings and display only those rows that match your search criteria, click Filter button at the top of the table.

You can create, edit, or delete hierarchy mappings from the Hierarchy Mapping Console. To create a new hierarchy mapping, click New located at the top of the console. To edit a hierarchy mapping, click Edit button in the table row of the hierarchy mapping you want to edit. To delete a hierarchy mapping, click Delete button in the table row of the hierarchy mapping you want to delete.

Note: Only the users with the default administrator role can view sub-categories while creating the hierarchy mappings. The other users can only view the top level parent category while creating the hierarchy map.
